With the start of the LWR challenge just eight days away, things are beginning to get real! Although the trip might be seen as just another boys on their toys jolly, we’re really committed to raising funds for OMRT and doing some bonding with our compadres over the border.

One complication has been a car crash that me, Lizzie and our collie Gyp were in ten days ago. A delivery van going too fast to make a bend T-boned our vehicle and wrote it off. Amazingly, all involved got out in one piece, but I damaged neck, right hand, shoulder and ribs. Ten days on, after time in A & E, physios and doctors surgeries, it’s obvious that I haven’t bounced back like I thought I would.

Not tried riding the bike since although I’m sure I can. It’s the manhandling of it that could be an issue as she’s a heavy beast, particularly loaded up.

Hopefully, things will improve from now to the start date…
