Andy Hadfield (59) has been a stalwart member of the Oldham Team for many years. An active mountaineer, runner and cyclist, he’s passionate about his motorcycling too.
Although he’s a regular visitor to the mountains in Scotland, there are some parts of the country he hasn’t seen so is really looking forward to this eight day whistletop tour.
Last year, Andy raised funds for the team with an epic solo motorbike trip to Cyprus. A quiet lad, he maintained anonimity in photos by imitating Top Gear’s ‘The Stig’ and wearing a full face helmet with dark visor!
For this trip though, his cover’s been well and truly blown!
Si Taylor (62) joined OMRT back in 2016. Previously the owner of an mountain sports shop called Mountainfeet, he now works part time as a Mountain Leader.
Si spends up to three months a year in Scotland and most of the Long Way Roond route terrain is known to him. That knowledge should prove useful when navigating on the challenge and getting the most out of the many points of interest along the way.
He’s owned over thirty motorbikes since the age of sixteen and has toured extensively in Europe and the UK.
